I've always believed that there is something to learn from any sort of Human Beings irrespective of the sex, age,  class,  socioeconomic status,  intellectual prowess, reasoning ability and mental agility.  No matter how mundane/monotonous their jobs are,  no matter how skillful they are or they may belong to the elitist category or the underprivileged section.  Everybody has some  unique wisdom which he has acquired  through his lifetime.  When we learn we see barriers  which act as hindrance to our developmental capabilities.  In what form does  this barrier take place? * Your unwillingness to learn. * Your hesitation due to fear.  This is prevalent in most of the situations.  * Do not ever think you have attained superiority hence learning from a person younger than you is void. * Never think that there is a saturation point.  * Step out of your comfort zone,  get some scars,  get dirty a...

Two South Asian countries, same culture , religions, ethnicity and language with a distinct demarcation of international border which separates India & Pakistan (apart from PoK & Aksai Chin). Yet there is a wide range of gap in thoughts, ideas , mutual understanding and peace making process. The recent dialogues, between India & Pakistan , held in the sidelines of UFA(Russia) Convention , has no new result. Rather it has turned out to be one of the worst fiasco by deliberate blaming of each other’s actions. "Flash of a genius", rightfully conversed in a very subtle way in this particular movie. Before going into the review, let's have a moment of geniusness which could've occurred to any of us alive or dead on the earth. The moment, if we've tried it, could have been a triumph or a loss. A movie made in 2008 from the 1960s directed by Marc Abraham contextualizes about an inventor, professor & a father of six named Robert Kearnes (Greg Kinnear) who participates in the battle of David vs Goliath. David, of course being him. Goliath here is the Ford Motors Corporation. Robert's wife Phyllis (Lauren Graham) is the mother of six children. What takes an invention? Possibly a flash of thought? Citylights, as the name suggests about lights in a metropolitan city (Mumbai in this case), portrays hope in darkness. It is a remake of the British-Filipino movie which had won many laurels earlier. This isn't a total replica of that original version. Mr. Hansal Mehta has done a pretty fine job in re-creating the whole movie in Indian contextual scenario. Who could have done this job better? Ofcourse it is Rajkumar Rao having won national award for Shahid. You cannot undermine the role of Patralekha too. The movie starts off with a poverty stricken family comprising of Deepak, Rakhi & their daughter, reeling under pressure to get a permanent source of income to overcome their basic requirements like providing a schooling for their daughter with other amenities. Torn between debt, Deepak decides to move to Mumbai where he could possibly end the grief clung to their family. The movie begins with a court trial in New York court house indicting a kid who was considered to be brutally murder his own father. The Judge,seemed tired, had decided upon the jury to take the decision whether guilty or for acquittal. The Jury comprised of 12 jurors. Everybody in their mind had already decided the boy was guilty & should be hanged till death. Leaving the verdict to be decided by the jury the judge retires. The jury decidedly moved to a private room for the decision regarding the boy's fate. It was a hot, humid day. Almost everybody was soaked up in sweat. Before they sat down few had refreshments. Later rain brought relief to the jurors who were disgusted in over spending of time on a topic which had nothing to argue on. Note: There were no names used of anybody till the end. First round of voting started with 11-1 guilty to not-guilty. The eleven jurors were taken aback. Few were raged, taken aback  & equally awestruck as the one who voted not guilty...

2nd April, 2011. Enthralled with emotions & overwhelmed with jitters. One might have skipped a heart beat or two.  Can any patriotic Indian forget this night?
